101in1001 Inspiration

101 in 1001

live carefree // travel often // love fully // blog more
impact students // become active // explore Charlotte // further education

With the beginning of the New Year I have been reflecting upon particular goals that I want to make a priority in 2015. I have come to realize just how much of my energy has been exhausted due to worrying about things out of my control. Last year I had a really difficult time loving others without reserve…I was insecure in my relationships with friends and loved ones. I pushed away people who I really cared about because I felt that getting hurt was imminent. Side note: I am the queen of self-fulfilling prophecies. But everyone gets lost, everyone is alone at some point, and everyone changes. In the upcoming year I really want to focus on things that bring me happiness, which are highlighted in the remainder of this post. I understand that my style of blogging is different than most and I can be a very transparent blogger. I often write hard and clear about what hurts, instead of posting pictures of fashionable trends. I want to say thank you to each and every one of you who reads my posts, and I hope you will continue to follow me as I continue to develop this little space of mine!
PS: January marked a milestone in my life: It’s been exactly one year since I moved from Raleigh to Charlotte!
PPS: Here is a list of my favorite “life” blog posts from 2014: Know Your WorthShe Loved Three ThingsYou Meet Yourself, & The Man That You Date
I was recently inspired by one of my favorite bloggers, Mackenzie Horan of Design Darling, to create a list of 101 goals that I intend to complete in 1001 days (approximately 2.75 years). I hope that sharing this list will keep me accountable and I cannot wait to start crossing things off my list! So without further ado…
