Today’s blogpost is such a treat because I finally get to introduce y’all to my wedding planner, Shannon Carpenter! The beginning of this year Shannon founded Magnolia and Pine Events; a boutique planning and design group specializing in full-service weddings and events. Not only is she an absolute sweetheart, but she also is a visionary for all things chic and southern! Magnolia and Pine Events recently styled a bridal brunch inspired by Lilly Pulitzer, and I was so excited when the team asked if I would be the “Bride”. Below you can read about Shannon’s inspiration behind the shoot and where all of the cute pieces are from!
What was your inspiration for the Styled Bridal Bruch?
When I was thinking through how I wanted to brand my new company, I decided that it was really important to me to show that Magnolia and Pine has a big personality. We’re professional and have a “get things done” attitude, but we’re also SUPER FUN and love creating unique, personal experiences for our clients. Along with branding, I needed a way to show our design talents and how creative we can be. What better way to do that than host a Styled Shoot? My inspiration to do a Lilly Pulitzer Bridal Brunch for the Styled Shoot came from my slight obsession with all things Palm Beach, my love of Lilly’s bright designs, and my passion for bringing amazing groups of people together to showcase their talents. The whole day lasted about 8 hours but every second of it was a blast! We drank champagne, danced in the street, laughed the entire time, basically, it felt like no work was being done at all, which was my goal. I’m super thankful to the vendors, models, and Pink of the Pines for making it happen. It was a collaboration of the best kind and I couldn’t be more grateful.
Where was everything from?
All of the dresses, accessories and men’s ties were from Pink of the Pines, A Lilly Pulitzer Signature Store in Pinehurst, NC. I’ve always been a fan of Lilly’s bright prints and classic shifts. Season after season, Lilly creates the perfect dresses for luncheons, showers and now, like we show in our shoot, a more casual take on bridesmaids dresses! You cant lose with Lilly! The flamingo plates, cloth napkins, palm leaf, lime green charger, and flowered table runner were from Pier One. The light pink tablecloth was from Amazon. The teal velvet chairs were from Steinmart. The yellow bench and black and white striped pillows are from Overstock.com. The pink and white striped vase that was the center piece is Kate Spade, which I found at HomeGoods! The palm leaf tray is also from HomeGoods. The hot pink bar cart was one that was my husband’s grandmothers. It used to be white but I spray painted hot pink because everything is more fun in hot pink! All of the pineapple accessories were from HomeGoods and TJ Max. All of my flamingo accessories were from Hobby Lobby. Including the flamingo piñata. The black and white striped candles are also from Hobby Lobby.
